Custom Builder Guidelines
Everything you need to know to sell custom builds on PlaneBase.
Custom builder status is available to any seller on PlaneBase who creates original handcrafted aviation models. This includes hand-painted liveries, scratch builds, 3D printed models, resin cast models, and diorama sets. You must have at least 3 portfolio photos of your own work to apply.
Mass-produced or unmodified factory models do not qualify for the Custom Hub — those belong in Standard Models. PlaneBase reviews all applications within 48 hours and reserves the right to decline applications that do not meet quality standards.
As a custom builder you can list two types of items. Ready-made listings are completed custom builds available for immediate purchase. Commission listings are open slots where buyers can request a custom build to their specifications. Both types are supported.
You may not list items you did not make yourself. Do not list models as custom if they are modified factory models with only minor changes — significant original work is required.
